Recovering group was established in 2005 by a group of individuals whose lives had been affected by the disease of alcoholism and addiction. Since that time, we have been committed to providing the best possible treatment to those individual seeking recovery. Our treatment programs are based upon a 28days concept Minnesota model treatment which is based on 12 step program including therapeutic community known as TC concept too.

We have a 20 bed capacity in our residential program and 15 in day care program after completing their 94 days program. We have been doing drug treatment to almost 415 clients from where we have 45% success rate till 2008. We are self-supported by our client's fee. All other staff members are volunteers who are ex addicts wanting to help others achieve a normal life. Where possible the Clients contribute financially but, as I am sure you are aware, Nepal is an extremely poor country and this is very rarely possible. This letter is a request for you and your organization to help in some way with our work. We would be happy to supply any further information you may require.

All donations are used to help us provide services, not only within the residential facility, but also with our Outreach Program, Crisis Care for HIV Positive (which helps to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, a growing problem in Nepal and around the world), and a Counseling Centre. We also help with education and information to the community in general.

Working in the field of addiction is a challenging task. Successful recovery encompasses several changes including improvement in self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, improvement in family interaction, vocational productivity, the establishment and attainment of realistic life goals and a healthy life style adjustment. The goal of TRG is to restore the individual to a healthier, happier more productive life, free from destructive behavior and dependence on addictive chemicals.
